Retreatment of a C-Shaped Lower Second Premolar

A mandibular second premolar, previously root-canal treated and restored with a metal screw post, presented with an aesthetic concern: a grey discoloration visible through the old overlying restoration, caused by the metallic post beneath. Retreatment was indicated to remove the failing post-and-core, re-treat the root canal system, and provide a definitive aesthetic restoration. Before and after.
