A patient arrived at our clinic with a simple wish: to be able to smile at his brother’s wedding, which was taking place in just a few days. The upper right lateral incisor presented a massive loss of dental structure and, of course, a lack of ferrule — a concept in dentistry that is an important indicator for the long-term resistance of a restored tooth. The prognosis of a tooth with such extensive structural loss is generally considered reserved in the medium and long term.
